The Seasonal Mini-Shoot

 

Our first mini-shoot this year is scheduled for April 21st at Sue's house in Bristol, IL. We also plan to have one this fall. Last year, we did a fall/Christmas mini and had a fantastic time.

 

This is a great opportunity to try us out if you are a new client, and an economical way to do annual pictures for your family. The location will typically be at Sue's house (although last spring we did a mini shoot/cancer fundraiser at Philips Park in Aurora).  Sue has a great location with farm fields backing up to her 1 acre property, flower gardens, a great wooden swing, etc.  We typically like to set up several "stations" so that the kiddos and their parents have a few photo locations to choose from. We recommend coming a few minutes early to warm up as Sue has a great playground area that is always a hit and is a great way to get those smiles started.

 

Shoots run about 30 minutes. Generally, we are able to provide 15 or so images on a CD for $75. With 2 photographers and 4-5 stations, we can do 4 shoots an hour. With the upcoming spring shoot, we guarantee your CD by Mother's Day along with a free 8 x 10 of your choice image.

What exactly is a "lifestyle" shoot?

 

For me personally, they are my favorite type of shoots!

 

It gives us, the photographers, an opportunity to shoot you and your family in your own home environment.

 

It's a great opportunity to photograph you and your family doing normal family things; the small things that you sometimes take for granted, but is truly what makes your family unique.  It's finding beauty in an artistic way in the day-to-day things you do at home. It's a journalistic style of photography that can tell a story.

 

It's easy to bring our lighting equipment and props directly to your house. We can include a brief "studio" type shoot to capture that special birthday, event, or new outfit. We also like to include some loosely posed family shots throughout the session.

 

While priced slightly higher than a typical studio shoot, it's a great way to incorporate all members of the family in a truly relaxed and candid way; to capture the moments that matter the most.
